SSS to open calamity loan and early pension for ‘Karding’ victims – Manila Bulletin
A Calamity Loan Assistance Program (CLAP) and three-month early pension will be opened for members and retirees affected by Typhoon Karding, the Social Security System (SSS) said.
These will be open to SSS members and retirees residing in areas declared to be in a state of disaster by the National Council for Disaster Risk Reduction and Management, SSS President and CEO Michael Regino said in a statement. a press release dated September 28.
Regino added that the initiative is “in response to the devastation wrought by Super Typhoon Karding.”
Under CLAP, the public pension fund said that “members can receive a loan equal to their average salary credit for the last 12 months or the amount they have applied for, whichever is greater. down”.
Meanwhile, the amount that can be drawn from the three-month early pension will be based on the amount the retiree receives each month.
“We are finalizing the guidelines for these programs, and will post them through our website and social media channels when available,” Regino said.
The CLAP request will be made via the My.SSS portal. Interested candidates were therefore invited to create their account on the online portal.
